Mint Tokens
Increase supply of your ERC20 token on Unichain (Testnet) network
FAQ
What is ERC20 token minting?
ERC20 token minting is the process of creating new tokens and increasing the total supply of an existing ERC-20 smart contract. CoinFactory allows you to mint additional tokens on unichainSepolia by specifying the amount and confirming an on-chain transaction.
How does the ERC20 minting process work on CoinFactory?
You select your ERC20 token, enter the number of tokens you want to mint, optionally specify a recipient address, and confirm the transaction in your wallet. By default, newly minted tokens are sent to the connected wallet, which is usually the token owner. The minting is executed on-chain on unichainSepolia.
Which networks are supported for ERC-20 token minting?
CoinFactory supports ERC20 token minting across multiple EVM-compatible networks. The active network is determined by your wallet connection and displayed as unichainSepolia during the minting process.
Do I need special permissions to mint ERC20 tokens?
Yes. Only wallets with minting permissions defined in the ERC-20 smart contract—such as the owner or an address with a minter role—can successfully mint new tokens. If your wallet does not have the required permissions, the transaction will fail.
Is there a limit on how many ERC20 tokens I can mint?
The mintable amount depends on the rules of your ERC20 smart contract. Some tokens have a fixed supply cap, while others allow flexible or unlimited minting. CoinFactory always respects the limits defined in the contract on unichainSepolia.
Can I mint ERC20 tokens directly to another wallet address?
Yes. CoinFactory allows you to specify a custom recipient address for minted ERC20 tokens. This is useful for treasury wallets, reward contracts, liquidity providers, or distribution addresses. If no address is specified, tokens are minted to the connected wallet by default.
How much does it cost to mint ERC20 tokens?
Minting ERC20 tokens requires paying the network transaction fee on unichainSepolia. Any additional service-related fees are clearly displayed in the CoinFactory interface before you confirm the transaction.
Is this ERC20 minting service suitable for memecoins?
Yes. CoinFactory ERC20 minting is commonly used by memecoin projects for phased launches, reward distributions, liquidity provisioning, and community incentives. As long as the memecoin contract supports minting, the service can be used safely.
Is ERC-20 token minting safe?
Yes. All minting transactions are executed directly on-chain on unichainSepolia through your connected wallet. CoinFactory is non-custodial and does not have access to your private keys or funds.
What are common use cases for ERC20 token minting?
Common use cases include treasury expansion, staking and farming rewards, airdrops, liquidity support, vesting releases, memecoin distributions, and gradual supply increases defined by the project’s tokenomics.
